How to measure for different shaped roof blinds

We will require a worms view drawing (From the floor looking up) of your conservatory and photos where possible

**This is critical information required**

Email drawing and conservatory photo's to

Similar to the drawing below, Don't worry about it looking too professional, we require the drawing so we know what shape your blind needs to be made. On the blind purchase screen it will ask you to select a blind number along with your sizes and other information. This number is very important as it will relate to the blind number on your worms view conservatory drawing, identifying the blinds shape.

How to measure for shaped blinds fitting underneath the beams

First measure the width of the blind, you are looking to cover the beams evenly by about 10-15mm either side.

Now we need to find the center point of the angle, as the example we are using is going to be a half triangle we measure from the straight edge where the beam meets the fascia and our length wants to finish at the top by the decorative boss as show below. Please do not add any extra to this length, it needs to be precise or the angle of the blind will be incorrect.

If you have a shape which isn't a true triangle or half triangle, you need to measure this slightly different. We are still looking for the center point of this  shape. Once you have found the center point we will need to know the distance the center point is away from the end of your width.

Another example of a common shape we see in shaped conservatory roofs, This type of shape requires individual leg measurements (Long & Short). These options are available to enter on the product page should your shape be similar to the picture below.

Now that we have our width and length we need to measure for the top rail.

The top rail is where the end of the blind is going to finish.

Again we are looking for approx 10mm coverage either side of the beam to keep it the same as the bottom, giving even coverage all the way along the beams.

The top rail is where the end of the blind is going to finish.

** The smallest top rail we can manufacture is 70mm **

Measuring for shaped blinds where you have deep beams and the blinds are actually going to be fitted in between these beams is a very similar process as above. When measuring for the width don't measure right up tight to the angled beam allow a 10mm distance away from the beam to give you clearance for the guide wires and anchor buttons to be installed.

For the length / drop, remember the smallest top rail we can manufacture is 70mm so if your shape goes to a narrow point you need to find the point where the 70mm top rail will fit in between the two beams and mark this point, this is where you will measure from the fascia to your 70mm mark and this is where you will obtain the correct length of your blind.

**Do not add anything on or take anything off this size, we need an accurate drop measurement for the correct number of pleats for manufacturing to suit your length / drop size.**

If your shape does not go to a point, then whatever size the top rail needs to be to fit as high up the conservatory as possible this is where you will measure the length too.
